About God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza:

God of Carnage is about two sets of parents, one of whose child has hurt the other at a public park. That night, the parents of both children meet to discuss the matter. As the evening goes on, the meeting degenerates into the four getting into irrational arguments, and their discussion falls into the loaded topics of misogyny, racial prejudice and homophobia. The parents become increasingly childish, resulting in the evening devolving into chaos.

The play, written in French, debuted in 2006 in a German-language production at the Schauspielhaus Zürich in Switzerland. Reza described the production, directed by Jürgen Gosch, as "pure tragedy" and said it is one of her favorite stagings. Reza says the American versions tend to be more true to the American style of entertainment and comedy.

Our staged reading will be directed by an American but acted by Germans, so how will the play be interpreted? Come and hear for yourself.

Tickets: 12€/8€

This production of “God of Carnage” is presented by special arrangement with
